Every society has its own unique sets of values. These values are largely governed by worldviews that the people in the society have. The values of the people are powerful factors of their communal behavioral patterns. The perceptions of the indigenous as well as the perceptions of the outsider missionaries of Summer Institute of Linguistics, and New Tribes Mission, about the values of the people of the Antipolo Evangelical Church, Asipulo, Ifugao, are the focus of this study. This study is guided by the social value orientation theory. This theory was helpful in gathering and aligning the specific values of the people of Asipulo, Ifugao into different aspects namely, self, family, community, nature, human nature, and the supernatural. Historical background of the Asipulo people provided understanding of the current values that hold true to them. Factors of change, such as the gospel were also presented to broaden the understanding of the development of the values of the people of Antipolo Evangelical Church, Asipulo, Ifugao. Firstly, the result of this study shows that the values of the indigenous people of Antipolo Evangelical Church, Asipulo, Ifugao, have changed radically as a result of the gospel brought to them by the foreign missionaries from Summer Institute of Linguistics and New Tribes Mission. This is manifested especially to the first generation of this study. The gospel has brought spiritual diversion from being animistic to Christian love. It also changed the people inwardly and economically as well. As time passed by though, the younger generations are losing grip on the values brought about by the gospel compared to the older ones. Secondly, the value of community is seen very strong. This is especially true to the second generation. The second generation sees the community as the perfect place to express one's faith in God. The man-ili is seen as the strongest manifestation of the value of community at the present time. There are varieties of motivating factors for the people of Antipolo Evangelical Church. Some cooperate out of fear of penalty; others do it out of changed attitude brought by the gospel. Others value community as act of gratitude for the inheritance handed down to them by their ancestors. Despite the differences in the motivating factors of the people, community is an intact value to the people. Thirdly, the third generation of this study finds good personal modeling of the Christian faith as important to them in the family, workplace, and the community. For the third generation, careful modeling of Christian moral values means giving a good inheritance to the younger generation. Lastly, the fourth generation constitutes a variety of values. These values are communal faith, culture, nature preservation, financial stability, family, friends, and basic needs. Overall, the values of the people of Antipolo Evangelical Church are changing, whether by mode of expression or is naturally degrading due to factors such as intermarriage, education, and globalization. This study used personal interviews to the indigenous people, e-mail interview to the foreign missionaries, and participant observation in gathering relevant data.
